R&D at its best, a game changer in moisture measurement technology

Bry-SCAN Patent Pending

An innovative, non-contact moisture measurement technology driven product

Bry-SCAN, a non-contact moisture measurement technology driven instrument, is designed to determine core moisture content independently in organic and synthetic products.

The device is specifically designed for flow – through use, allowing straightforward sampling for the defined location, providing conditions to measure within the production process.

Bry-SCAN is compact and can be easily installed in various places within the product line. The product is ideal for pellets, powders, flakes and other raw materials.

Bry-SCAN provides the best solutions for fast and easy measurement with a high accuracy and repeatability. The device supersedes other indirect methods with quality control where one can prevent all the common problems rising from moisture content in the materials.

Odour Free Air in Waste Water Treatment Plants . . .

Any place or process in which wastewater is collected, conveyed or treated has the potential to generate and release nuisance odours. Early stages of processing tends to produce smelly gases like Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Bromine and Oxides of Nitrogen, Chlorine (Cl2 ) etc., which can be toxic or even corrosive in higher concentrations. In most water pumping stations, filtration plants, and waste water control plants, control of odour is of prime importance. Malodorous gases require gas phase filtration prior to exhausting from irrigation tanks and pumping stations.

Essence of odour control during sewage treatment Majority of odour problems occur in the collection system, primary treatment facilities and in solids’ handling facilities. This condition occurs when oxygen transfer to the wastewater is limited. In the anaerobic state, the microbes present in the wastewater have no dissolved oxygen available for respiration. This allows microbes known as “sulfate-reducing bacteria” to thrive. These bacteria utilize the sulfate ion that is naturally abundant in most waters as an oxygen source for respiration. The byproduct of this activity is hydrogen sulfide. This byproduct has a strong, offensive and rotten – egg like odour. In addition to its odour, hydrogen sulfide can cause severe corrosion problems as well.

The main odour generating areas are:

Waste water and sewage collection/processing facilities

  • Clarifiers
  • Digesters
  • Aeration basins
  • Lagoons
  • Pumping stations
  • Head works
  • Sludge handling areas etc.

Chemical cleaning compounds, solid waste, and other accumulated human garbage increases the natural contamination of sewage water. Nuisance odours and gases evade the best preventative efforts of modern wastewater treatment plants. Industrial odour control is a complex and difficult task. Even the waste disposal workers are now beginning to understand the importance for odour control.

The Bry-Air EcoScrub solution

Bry-Air EcoScrub can control the odour. It is a desiccant based dry air scrubber. The desiccant is impregnated with required chemicals which react with the odour-causing gases and neutralize them. The cleaned air makes working conditions inside wastewater and sewage treatment plants much comfortable.

When Moisture is Torture

In this column, we will share with you regularly our experience in major application areas where usage of dehumidification is both extensive and essential.

Preserving Seeds, Protecting Our Future: Bry-Air’s Vital Role Unveiled

For more information www.bryair.com Steel is considered as one of the best materials used for bridge construction. Steel, in spite of its constructive benefits, has some limitations against moisture. Steel when comes in contact with moisture it chemically reacts and deteriorates its physical properties. Deterioration caused by the moisture results into metal loss and weakens the metal strength.

Preventing steel cables from getting corrode is one of the major threat to the life span of the bridge. There never had been an effective system that can prevent corrosion on the steel cables. The traditional methods like blasting and painting, simply slow down the process of corrosion rather than preventing it completely.

There is only one tested and proven preventive method called – dehumidification, which can completely protect steel cables from corrosion. The system works on an arrangement in which dry air is blown through steel cables, such that corrosion does not occur.

The prime objective of Dehumidification process is to keep steel cables corrosion free. Its advantages are:

  • Increases the life span of a bridge.
  • Reduces maintenance cost.
  • Reduces inspection cost.

BryCare a solution for service & maintenance of your Dehumidifier

Bry-Air believes in the fact that “Prevention is better than cure”. Bry-Air has built separate Dehumidifier Service Department “Brycare”, focused on preventive maintenance. The Brycare team is factory trained and technically qualified. The primary objective of this division is to prevent any kind of breakdown in an equipment before it has actually occurred.

The BryCare team deploys regular and timely inspection to ensure that the dehumidifier always remains in prime working condition, thus, resulting in zero interruption in the production process.

Different maintenance plans are made available depending upon the customer needs and number of machines in use.

Bry-Air CSR … Vision | Education | Environment

The legacy continues . . .

Bry-Air striving for a better world!

Some updates on recent programs.

Maha Camp at Bry-Air

On the auspicious day of Vishwakarma Puja. Bry-Air CSR team arranged a Maha Camp for all PE employees. This camp was strictly for the employees and their relatives. There was a massive turnout of patients, and a large number of free spectacles and medicines were distributed. Like all previous camps, cataract operations with lens were also administered.

Drawing competition for children at Bry-Air & DRI

While the adults were busy queuing up for the camp, the tiny tots had a field day of expressing their creativity at the drawing competition organized at Bry-Air and DRI facilities. 12 winners were chosen, and consolation prizes and participation prizes were given as well.

Eye Camp

Bry-Air arranged a volunteer eye camp for people who needed Eye attention. People from different villages came for the treatment at the Eye Camp. Free spectacles and medicines were distributed, as per doctor’s prescription. Cataract operations with lens were performed at the Venu Eye Institution.
