Bry-Air has a wide range of desiccant dehumidifiers, both rotor based as well as solid granular type.
The new Bry-Air Rotor Based Desiccant Dehumidifiers are the result of many man-years of in-depth study of customer needs and research work.

Engineered to highest consistency, reliability and ecology standards, the rotary type, industrial dehumidifiers remove moisture from air on a continuous basis.
The Dehumidifiers incorporates the high efficiency EcoDry metal silicate desiccant synthesized rotor to meet the industry needs for an equipment with small footprint coupled with high moisture removed capability.

Operating Principle:

Fluted Flat Bed Dehumidifier (Rotor Based) - FFB Series

Moisture-laden air enters the unit through the process inlet and passes through the Ecodry metal silicate fluted desiccant synthesised rotor, where the moisture is adsorbed.

The dry, dehumidified air is then delivered to conditioned area through the process outlet.

Range: 170 cmh to 2000 cmh (100 cfm to 1177 cfm).

Fluted Vertical Bed Dehumidifier (Rotor Based) - FVB Series

The Bry-Air FVB Dehumidifier incorporates the EcoDry® fluted wheel / honeycomb rotor which has a special active metal silicate desiccant synthesised in-situ. Moisture laden air enters the unit through the process inlet and passes through the EcoDry metal silicate fluted desiccant synthesized rotor, where the moisture is adsorbed.

The moisture is thus removed through a process of continuous physical adsorption. The dry, dehumidified air is then delivered to the conditioned area through the process outlet.

Reactivating the desiccant

The rotating desiccant wheel / rotor moves into the reactivation segment well before “saturation” where the moisture is driven off by the hot air blown through the reactivation segment of the rotor.

Heat recovery

In the FVB Sr. Series, the reactivation air is passed through a heat pipe based heat recovery unit. Here, the incoming reactivation air picks up the heat energy which has been transferred by the heat pipes from the hot moisture laden air being exhausted from the rotor after reactivation of the desiccant. The warm incoming reactivation air is further heated by the heaters to about 100°C above ambient before it passes through the reactivation sector of the rotor.

In the FVB Jr. Series, a purge sector is provided in the rotor in place of the heat pipe based energy recovery unit for pre-heating the incoming reactivation air and for cooling a part of the reactivation wheel, which is entering the process sector.

Range:

FVB (Jr.) Series - from 1500 cmh to 4000 cmh (880 cfm to 2360 cfm).
FVB (Sr.) Series - from 5000 cmh to 7600 cmh (2950 cfm to 4473 cfm).

Modular Vertical Bed Dehumidifier (Solid Granular Type) - MVB Series

The Bry-Air ‘MVB’ dehumidifier is still a ‘fairly new’ and yet ‘a proven’ concept in desiccant dehumidification, incorporating Modular Vertical Bed (MVB) located on a rotating carousel. This series of dehumidifiers is designed for maximum drying efficiency at minimum operating cost.

Moisture-laden air enters through the process inlet and moves through the desiccant beds in that chamber. The desiccant in the beds adsorbs the water vapour. Thus dehumidified air is then delivered through the process outlet directly into the controlled space. A clockwise rotation of the carousel moves the beds one at a time into the reactivation section of the unit. There, hot air entering through the reactivation inlet moves through the desiccant to drive off the moisture and exhaust it into the atmosphere. Positive sealing between the chambers prevents any mixing of the process and reactivation air streams.

MVB Series Range - from 850 cmh to 42,500 cmh (500 cfm to 25,000 cfm).

The Bry Air Advantage

Bry-Air equipment has several advantages over systems based on liquid/solid absorption technique using lithium chloride. Some of the salient differences are highlighted.
Bry-Air Solid/Liquid Absorbent Systems
Based on principle of adsorption Based on the principle of Absorption

Choice of adsorbents 1. Absorbent

* Bry Air sorb 100/120/121
* Silica gel - 40% adsorption capacity Lithium Chloride
* Molecular Sieve - High temperature drying.
* Activated Alumina- 38% adsorption capability

With a judicious selection of desiccant

* Bry Air equipment optimises performance for any job
* No damage of Adsorbent bed at High RH Sensitive for High RH
* Desiccant used is Non-Toxic non-corrosive Highly corrosive
* Moisture removal capacity 10-20% more Lower moisture removal capacity per kg of dry air

Further advantage in case of maintenance, low energy consumption and packageability makes Bry-Air the number one choice for efficient humidity control.
